The Process

At Round Door Workshop, we avoid the high-speed nature of fast fashion. We are small family run business and our stitch-to-order model ensures that every garment is handled with care and intention in our Sydney workshop.

In-House Design and Testing

Every design begins in our workshop. We don't use stock files or mass-produced templates. We manually create and digitize each and every design. Once a design is created, we run multiple test stitches on various fabrics, refining and tweaking until the design is just right.

Selecting the Foundation

We source high-quality, mid-weight apparel that offer both structural integrity and comfort. These are selected specifically for their ability to support dense embroidery without puckering or pulling. By choosing quality apparel, we ensure the garment feels as premium as the artwork it carries.

Stitching to Order

We do not hold pre-decorated stock. Once your order is placed, we prepare the embroidery frame and stitch the design specifically for you. This "small batch" approach allows us to monitor the machine's progress closely, ensuring a level of precision that high-volume factories often overlook.

Finishing and Quality Assurance

After the embroidery is complete, we move to the finishing bench. We manually trim jump threads and remove the stabilizer backing by hand. Each item undergoes a final inspection to ensure the stitching is crisp, the garment is clean, and the final product meets our standards.

Local Dispatch

Your order is folded and packed in our Sydney studio, ready for transit anywhere in Australia. Because we only stitch what is ordered, we reduce textile waste and ensure that your garment is fresh off the frame and built to last.
