An understated tribute to the front-line protectors and party tanks, machine-stitched with dense, high-character thread work on a premium, long-wear canvas. Designed specifically for those who choose a subtle nod to tabletop lore over the loud, screen-printed graphics of mass retail, this t-shirt offers a refined emblem that transitions effortlessly from corporate environments to weekend campaigns. Featuring original artwork drawn and digitized entirely within our Sydney studio, each piece is run as an individual production on a robust, heavily weighted cotton shirt.

The Design

As part of our Fantasy Companions series, we wanted to create a stereotypical tank. With sword and board in hand and heavy chain mail armour, the little guy looks ready to protect whatever is behind the door.

The final artwork remains exceptionally close to our initial workshop sketches, capturing the sturdy stance and protective silhouette we originally envisioned. The only major evolution from the drafting bench was the choice to implement an open helm in the final design. This adjustment brings a touch of character and visibility to the face.

The embroidery pathing itself is highly deliberate. The shield is given an extra layer to raise it slightly above the body and reduce pulling, creating a tactile depth that keeps the fabric flat. When caught by the sun, the metallic silver thread glistens like chain mail in the light, offering a subtle flash of detail against the clean cotton background.

Workshop & Craftsmanship

Stitch-to-Order Workflow: Every garment at Round Door Workshop is handled as an individual production run. We do not maintain pre-printed shelves of stock. Your chosen blank is hooped, calibrated, and machine-stitched specifically for your order in our Sydney studio.
Manual Finishing Bench: Once stitching is complete, the shirt transfers to our manual finishing bench. The internal backing is trimmed by hand and we manually inspect the embroidery is clear of any minor jump threads with precision snips before we send it to you.
Lead Time: Because each piece is crafted to order, please allow up to 7 business days for production and quality inspection before your garment is packed and dispatched via Australia Post from our Sydney workshop.
